Master Peter J Desorda -
Pete Desorda began studying the martial arts in 1982 at the Vermont Academy of Karate and Kick boxing, located in Barre, VT. He was taught by Sensei Al McGaughey. Al Sensei had trained in several martial arts to include, Kajukenbo, Tae Kwan Do, Judo, Tang Soo Do (Chuck Norris system) and Escrima (Filipino stick fighting) under Dan Inosanto (Bruce Lee's #1 Student.) Al Sensei was also the New Hampshire middle weight kick boxing champion.
After approximately 2 1/2 years, Al Sensei left to pursue a teaching career in Fremont, CA and the school was handed over to Soke (10th degree black belt) Robert Rondelli. Soke Rondelli was a very knowledgeable teacher and his style USA Karate-Jitsu was recognized by Peter Urban (founder of American Goju.) Soke Rondelli taught two styles within the school. USA Karate-Jitsu and Zanshin Ju-Jitsu. Rank was separate for each style. After a short time Desorda was promoted to 1st degree black belt in USA Karate-Jitsu.
Desorda studied with Soke Rondelli for several years and was promoted to 5th degree black belt in USA Karate-Jitsu and 3rd degree black belt in Zanshin Ju-Jitsu in 1994.
In 1997, Desorda opened Desorda's Martial Arts Academy in Stowe, Vermont. For 10 years Desorda traveled throughout New England competing along with his students at 100's of martial arts tournaments in the I.P.P.O.N (Independent Practitioners and Promoters of New England) circuit. Desorda was awarded Mens black belt fighting champion for I.P.P.O.N in 2001. Also during that 10 year period, Desorda was Promoted to the Rank of 4th degree black belt in Tang Soo Do by Master Mark Stockton of Rutland Vermont and the promotion was recognized by Grand Master Pete Porter of White River Jct, Vermont.
In 2007, Desorda moved to Southern New Hampshire and shortly thereafter began teaching at Onsite Family Martial Arts Center located at 117 Gosling Rd. Newington, New Hampshire 03801.
